Gullane and Glen lead the way as new season tees off
Newly promoted Glen got their season off to the perfect start with a home win over Musselburgh in the only top flight match to be played on the opening weekend. Meanwhile Dunbar took the points in a closely contested opening encounter at home to Gifford.
Both matches got a mention in the Evening News (click on the link above).
Meanwhile Haddington were left to contemplate a tough season ahead as they returned empty handed from their visit to Whitekirk. But there was success on the road for Tantallon, the four times league champions always looking in control as they started their 2nd Division campaign with a win at Castle Park.
And the season got into full swing on Sunday 20th October, with 2010 champions Gullane brushing aside the challenge from Kilspindie to join Glen at the top, whilst Musselburgh Old and Craigielaw recorded home wins in the 2nd Division.
