Craigielaw became the first team to secure promotion to Division 1 with a hard earned win on Sunday away to Tantallon. And with both of their remaining league fixtures on home turf the 2009 league champions are now favourites to hold off the challenge from Musselburgh and lift the 2nd Division title.
Relegated back in 2010, just 12 months after their solitary league success, Craigielaw's return to the top flight has been a long time coming. Now they know they will tee it up against the likes of Royal Musselburgh, Gullane and North Berwick next season as they set their sights on the main prize.
Meantime there was no change in the bottom half of Division 1, as Haddington, Kilspindie and Longniddry all drew their matches. Two out of three will drop out of the top flight, but there's still all to play for in the battle for survival.
